Andrew Shue, ex-husband of former "Good Morning America" host Amy Robach, and Marilee Fiebig, the former wife of fellow "GMA" personality T.J. Holmes, have announced their engagement.
Shue, who was married to Robach from 2010 until their separation and subsequent divorce, confirmed the engagement to People magazine. Fiebig was married to Holmes during the same period.
Robach and Holmes' own relationship garnered significant media attention after they began seeing each other while still married to their respective spouses. The affair led ABC News to remove them from "GMA3: What You Need to Know" in late 2022, with their departure from the network becoming permanent in January 2023.
Shue told People that he and Fiebig became friends as they navigated the ends of their marriages. "I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending," Shue stated.
He reflected on the importance of family and creating a loving environment for children, acknowledging his own role in the dissolution of his previous marriage. "You don’t know how you meet the person who’s right for you," Shue commented. "It just happened."
