Former NFL star Antonio Brown pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated assault with a firearm in connection with a 2025 shooting outside a celebrity boxing match in Miami. Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez sentenced Brown to three years of probation, requiring weekly counseling sessions and prohibiting him from possessing a firearm, among other conditions.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Brown will not have a criminal conviction and may seek early termination of his probation after approximately 18 months, provided he adheres to all conditions. The plea, entered in state court in Miami, allows the former All-Pro wide receiver to avoid prison time.
Brown had initially faced an attempted murder charge. Police stated that he had grabbed a handgun from a security staffer at the event and fired two shots at a man with whom he had been involved in a prior fistfight.
