The murder trial of Lindsay Clancy resumed Tuesday with the emotional testimony of her ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, who recounted the events of the day their three children died.

Patrick Clancy returned to the stand to continue his testimony, which had been marked by profound grief earlier in the week. He described his children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, recalling Cora's love for princesses, Dawson's fascination with firefighters, and Callan as a happy baby.

He testified about leaving the family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, to pick up a takeout order that Lindsay Clancy had placed. He stated that before he left, he briefly held Callan, kissed Cora on the head, and told them he would return shortly. Dawson was eating chicken nuggets on the couch at the time.

Upon his return, Patrick Clancy discovered that Lindsay Clancy had allegedly strangled their children with exercise bands and had then attempted suicide by plunging from a second-floor window. The children were pronounced dead, and Clancy survived her injuries.

Best friends of Lindsay Clancy have expressed their support for her throughout the trial, which has been described as one of the "saddest murder trials."

Lindsay Clancy, a former nurse, is accused of murdering her three children. The details of the case emerged in July 2026. Her defense has indicated a focus on her mental state at the time of the incident.
