Former "Howard Stern Show" staffer Jon Blitt has playfully teased his post-layoff employment, sharing an Instagram video that depicted him starting a new job at Old Navy. The SiriusXM program recently underwent significant staff cuts, with around a dozen employees being let go.

In the clip, Blitt is seen folding jeans in a retail setting and referencing Alec Baldwin's iconic line from "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Always Be Closing," by adapting it to "Always Be Folding." He humorously questioned if he was permitted to film while at work, promising updates on his new role.

Fans in the comments section recognized Blitt's characteristic humor, understanding that his "Old Navy" stint was a joke. Blitt had been with "The Howard Stern Show" for nearly a decade.

Page Six confirmed earlier this month that Howard Stern laid off approximately a dozen staffers from his show. Sources indicated that the news was delivered to employees via Zoom, and they were informed that Stern plans to reduce the show to a single episode per week after his summer break. Staffers were sent home immediately after the calls and are to receive severance packages based on their tenure.

Other notable staff members laid off include Benjy Bronk, Memet Walker, and Mike Trainor. Trainor confirmed his departure on X, formerly Twitter, on July 16, expressing gratitude for his 12 years on the show and anticipation for future endeavors.

This round of layoffs follows a period of uncertainty for the show last year when Stern initially did not return to the air as expected after Labor Day. Reports at the time suggested his absence was due to "frustration" over contract negotiations. He ultimately re-upped for another three years in December, stating on his show that the new contract would offer him more "flexibility" and "free time" while allowing him to continue on the radio. Stern initially signed with Sirius Satellite Radio in 2004, securing a five-year deal worth $500 million.
