Ex-Girlfriend Sentenced in Yacht Club Love Triangle Slaying

A North Carolina woman has been sentenced to seven years in prison for her involvement in the killing of her former partner at the Stony Brook Yacht Club on Long Island. Kacy Corso, 34, pleaded guilty in July to ambushing Christopher Millwater, 52, on November 10.

Corso’s new boyfriend, Victor Panebianco, 32, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 25 years in prison the day before Corso received her sentence. Prosecutors stated that Millwater was killed in the yacht club parking lot after he arrived around 3:40 a.m. and found Panebianco and Corso waiting for him.

According to prosecution accounts, Millwater attempted to flee in his vehicle, but the couple’s car blocked his escape. After crashing into Millwater's car, the pair forced him to abandon his vehicle and attempt to escape on foot. Surveillance footage captured Panebianco chasing Millwater and fatally stabbing him twice. Millwater’s last words were reportedly, “You’re stabbing me?”

Following the incident, Panebianco and Corso drove back to their North Carolina residence, where they were apprehended by local law enforcement. Corso, who had a prior relationship with Millwater, was described as having become increasingly hostile after their breakup. Social media posts indicated animosity between Corso and Millwater in the period leading up to the killing.

In court, Corso expressed remorse and apologized to Millwater's family before Justice Timothy Mazzei imposed her sentence. Her cooperation with prosecutors led to a reduced charge.
