Ex-Ford CEO's wife sues Utah ranch for alleged sexism

Jane Fields, wife of former Ford CEO Mark Fields, is suing the exclusive Wasatch Peaks Ranch in Utah, alleging discriminatory treatment based on gender. The lawsuit claims that Fields and her female companions were ordered off a golf course to allow a group of men to play.

According to the suit, after being removed from the course, the women were offered a "hat-making class" as an alternative activity, which Fields's legal team argues is demeaning and indicative of sexist attitudes at the ranch. The Fields own a mansion within the Wasatch Peaks Ranch, described as an ultra-exclusive gated community.

Mark Fields, a prominent figure in the automotive industry, served as the CEO of Ford Motor Company. The couple are members of the luxury ranch, which boasts amenities such as a golf course, 3,000 acres of private skiing, fly fishing, and hiking trails. The lawsuit aims to address the alleged unequal treatment experienced by Fields and her friends at the high-end recreational facility.
