A veteran FBI agent has warned of imminent revenge attacks within the United States if President Trump were to authorize a nuclear strike on Iran. Chris Swecker, a former assistant director of the FBI and counterintelligence expert, stated that Iranian sleeper agents are already present in the U.S. and could target American infrastructure and populations.
According to Swecker, a primary target for retaliation would be the American power grid and nuclear energy plants. He also suggested that Iran could initiate cyberattacks. The warning comes amid reports that President Trump has considered the use of nuclear weapons within days as the U.S. potentially targets key nuclear research facilities in Iran's Isfahan Province. Pickaxe Mountain is identified as one of the sites the U.S. might target in such a scenario.
Iranian state television has reportedly broadcast alert messages concerning a potential nuclear strike against the country. Swecker, who served 24 years with the FBI, expressed concern that millions of Americans could be endangered by Iran-backed terror cells operating within the U.S. if a nuclear bomb were to hit Iran.
