Ex-Crew Member Halts 'I'm A Celebrity' Spin-off Filming Over Unpaid Wages

Filming for the "I'm A Celebrity" spin-off, "The Wild Frontier," was disrupted when a disgruntled former crew member allegedly blocked a show trial due to a dispute over unpaid wages. The incident occurred off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, where the show is currently being filmed.

According to reports, the former employee anchored his boat beneath cranes that were positioned to lower celebrities into the Pacific Ocean for a trial. Production staff were reportedly forced to negotiate a settlement with the individual from a boat to allow filming to proceed.

A source told The Sun that the situation was "very embarrassing" as production bosses were aware the former employee was on public property. The dispute was resolved, and the filming schedule was not delayed.

ITV, the network behind "I'm A Celebrity," has been contacted for comment.

The "Wild Frontier" spin-off, hosted by Ant and Dec, features pairs of celebrities undertaking trials in the wilderness. Reported challenges include a terrifying abseil named Dreaded Drop and an endurance test called Bear Watch.

The production has faced other difficulties, including the withdrawal of Venezuela Fury, the 16-year-old daughter of Tyson and Paris Fury. She reportedly quit the show after 72 hours due to illness, experiencing vomiting that worsened over time. Her husband, Noah Price, was with her, and the source stated that campmates and production staff were supportive.

After leaving the set, Venezuela Fury was examined by ITV medical staff before returning to a hotel with Noah Price. Love Island winner Toni Laites and her friend Marielle are rumored to be replacing them.

Other celebrity pairs participating in "The Wild Frontier" include married couple Rio and Kate Ferdinand, siblings Louise Redknapp and Joe Nurding, "Dancing On Ice" judges Christopher Dean and Karen Barber, boyband members Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy, and social media stars Paul Olima and Jeremy Lynch.
