Ex-Aces Player Sydney Colson Restrained After Confronting Fan During WNBA Playoff Game

Former Las Vegas Aces player Sydney Colson was restrained by arena staff after confronting an Indiana Fever fan during the fourth quarter of Game 2 of the WNBA playoffs on Tuesday night. The incident occurred in the immediate aftermath of Aces star A'ja Wilson's heated exchange with a fan.

Colson, along with another former Aces teammate, Theresa Plaisance, were seated courtside and moved toward the baseline to de-escalate the situation involving Wilson. Video footage shows Colson and Plaisance being escorted away from the area by arena staff.

As they were returning to their seats, a man in a red Fever shirt reportedly gestured and spoke to Colson and Plaisance. Plaisance appeared to respond by pointing at the fan. Another video clip showed Colson being held back by an arena staff member as she addressed the fan, reportedly saying, “Who do you think you are? Bitch, who the f–k do you think you are?” Plaisance was also heard calling the fan “a little bitch boy.”

Colson, a guard who played for the Fever in 2025 and had multiple seasons with Wilson on the Aces, and Plaisance, a forward who was a teammate of Wilson's on the 2022 championship team, were serving as player contributors for Amazon's "WNBA on Prime" coverage of the game.

The original confrontation between Wilson and the fan began after the fan commented on a foul called on the Aces. Wilson, who received a technical foul for the incident, later stated that the fan's behavior was unacceptable. The Fever organization issued a statement saying that arena security spoke with the fan and witnesses and determined there was no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, and the fan was not removed from the arena.

The series, tied 1-1, now moves to Las Vegas for a decisive Game 3 on Thursday night.
