Married At First Sight alum Evelyn Ellis has shared her thoughts on her relationship with boyfriend Duncan James, admitting she is becoming impatient for a marriage proposal after three years together. Ellis revealed her proactive approach to hinting at engagement, stating, "I don't think any woman should be complacent. I think it's about progressing to the next level and being very stern on what you want." She added, "I guess Duncan's got to get moving soon, doesn't he?"

The couple, known for their elaborate Halloween transformations, recently dressed as Mr. Chow and Alan Garner from the film "The Hangover." Ellis described the annual tradition as increasingly challenging, with a growing pressure to surpass previous costumes.

Ellis noted that the desire for marriage is a family affair, with her mother actively involved in suggesting engagement ring specifications to James. "My mum came over with a diamond certificate and placed it in front of his face," Ellis said. "She's so aggressive with it, telling him which specs to get. She's so intense."

Despite the focus on marriage, Ellis, who turned 31, stated she is not feeling rushed to start a family, emphasizing the importance for women to research fertility options early. For now, her two dogs, Pickles and Mustard, are her primary focus. The couple's commitment to their pets includes significant expenses, such as over $10,000 to relocate one of her dogs from London to Australia.

Beyond personal life, Ellis also addressed professional challenges stemming from their reality television background. She claimed that some businesses and events in Australia are hesitant to work with them due to their past on "Married At First Sight." Ellis suggested that while reality TV is more widely embraced in the UK and US, Australia is still behind in recognizing the success of reality personalities beyond their initial shows. She did, however, praise brands like Petbarn for aligning with them authentically.
