Concerns over a stalker cast a shadow over the extravagant Cotswolds wedding of Eve Jobs, daughter of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, and Olympic showjumper Harry Charles. The fears led to increased security during the July 2025 ceremony.
A man, identified as Ajan Purna-Spedding, 34, was charged with stalking without fear, alarm, or distress. Court documents indicate he contacted Ms. Jobs and sent her flowers and cards in the year preceding her wedding.
In a victim statement, Ms. Jobs, 28, described the situation as "scary and upsetting," stating she felt "unsafe" and did not want to "go anywhere alone." Her team reportedly enhanced her security for the wedding, with particular worry surrounding her travel to and from St Michael and All Angels Church. The existing security detail, present due to the high-profile guests including Princess Beatrice, Kamala Harris, and Sir Elton John, was also informed of the stalking concerns.
In July, High Wycombe Magistrates' Court issued Purna-Spedding a restraining order, a community order, and fines, including £650 for trial costs. However, Purna-Spedding has appealed his conviction, though a hearing date has not yet been set.
Despite these events, the couple's wedding, estimated to have cost £5 million, took place over three days at a 107-room manor house. More recently, Harry Charles won a bronze medal at the showjumping world championships in Aachen, riding a horse gifted to him by Ms. Jobs.
