Outdoor enthusiast Eva Shockey recently appeared on the show "Tomi Lahren Is Fearless" to discuss her experiences with bear hunting and its role in wildlife management and conservation. Shockey emphasized that hunting bears can be a necessary measure to address issues such as overpopulation.
"In my dad's area, the biologist will say, 'you need to have this many bears that can sustain the wildlife... and so this is how many you can hunt off of there, you need to hunt off there. Otherwise there will be too many,'" Shockey explained.
She also cited other reasons for hunting bears, including preventing them from overeating, damaging farmers' crops, and venturing too close to residential areas. Despite participating in bear hunts, Shockey admitted that she does not particularly enjoy the taste of the meat.
When asked about eating bear, Shockey stated, "You can. It's flavorful in a way that's not my favorite." She noted that while bear meat is edible and sometimes used in sausages, she personally prefers other game. If she has a choice between elk and bear, Shockey said she would always choose elk. She donates the meat to locals in her area.
Shockey, an outdoor enthusiast and conservationist, has been hunting bears throughout her life. The discussion on "Tomi Lahren Is Fearless" touched on various aspects of hunting and its ecological considerations.
