An international manhunt is underway for a Ukrainian national, identified as Anastasia B., who is suspected of carrying out a bomb attack in Monaco that injured oligarch Vadim Ermolaev, his mistress Anna Nasobina, and their young son. Interpol has issued a Red Notice and an arrest warrant for the 39-year-old suspect, who is described as "armed and dangerous."
Anastasia B. was reportedly seen fleeing Monaco on Monday after the explosive device detonated in the foyer of a luxury apartment building owned by Ermolaev. Surveillance footage captured a woman wearing a black bucket hat, believed to be the suspect, escaping on foot across the border into France. Investigators believe she may have traveled to Italy or the Balkans with accomplices.
The explosion severely injured Ermolaev, 58, and his mistress, 46-year-old Anna Nasobina. Nasobina required amputation of her legs and both sustained shrapnel wounds and burns. The young son, believed to be 13 years old, suffered less severe injuries and is reportedly cooperating with investigators.
Authorities identified the suspect, a Ukrainian national registered as living in Germany, through witness accounts. She is known to have ties to organized crime. Judicial authorities in France and Monaco have launched criminal inquiries into attempted murder, planting an explosive device, and criminal conspiracy.
Ermolaev, who had made numerous enemies, reportedly moved to Monaco for security reasons. Investigations into the motive are ongoing, with theories ranging from a settling of scores within criminal circles to potential involvement of security services. The attack marks the first of its kind in the principality. The suspect was believed to have used a disposable "burner phone" to detonate the device remotely.
