Iranian-American actress Jewell, known for her role in HBO's "Euphoria," has accused Iranian football star Ramin Rezaeian of sending her inappropriate messages, including requests for explicit videos and invitations to parties with sexual undertones. Jewell, who has over a million Instagram followers and previously held the title of Miss California, detailed her exchanges with Rezaeian in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail.
The actress stated that Rezaeian first contacted her via direct message on Instagram in late June, during the World Cup. Initially, the conversation was benign, with Rezaeian thanking her for her support of the Iranian team. However, the tone quickly shifted, according to Jewell.
"One day, I received a message from Ramin saying, 'Where do you live? You're so sexy?'" Jewell recounted. "I didn't think much of it because, in the beginning, I just thought our conversation was simply about the Iranian team. So when he started flirting with me, I just thought, 'Okay, that is a nice compliment.'"
When Jewell indicated she lived in Los Angeles, Rezaeian allegedly asked if she would like to see him in Paris. The actress described the conversation taking a sharp turn toward explicit content. "Instead of cute, flirty messages like, 'Yeah, that would be nice, to see each other and talk,' it turned into: 'Do you like having sex with girls? Have you been with girls? And can you send me a video of you playing with yourself?'"
Jewell stated that she ceased responding after becoming uncomfortable. However, she claims Rezaeian continued to message her persistently, inquiring about her sexual experiences and involvement in orgies. She also alleges that Rezaeian began using a private Instagram account to send messages, sometimes employing a vanish mode feature. "That's when I was like, 'Okay, I don't think it's safe for me to speak to him anymore,' because obviously there's something more to this."
The actress further described Rezaeian's alleged invitation to Paris as having an "Epstein-esque" quality, suggesting a scenario involving multiple women. She stated that Rezaeian also inquired if she would be willing to bring other women into a relationship, leading her to believe the situation could be linked to trafficking.
During this period, Jewell noted that Rezaeian appeared to be traveling with Sasha Sobhani, described as an influencer and the son of a former IRGC official. Photos shared on social media depicted them together, including at parties in Saint-Tropez, which Jewell indicated matched locations she saw on Rezaeian's private account.
Jewell characterized Rezaeian as the Islamic Republic's "golden boy," contrasting his public image, which includes appearances at pro-regime rallies and expressions of loyalty to the Iranian government, with his private behavior. As someone born in Iran who lived there until age 18, Jewell stated she has personal experience with the regime's repression.
Following her public account of the interaction on her Instagram story, Jewell claims she received a significant backlash, including threats and accusations on a Telegram channel. She reported being called a Mossad agent and receiving messages from men stating she should have complied with Rezaeian's demands. Some women, she also stated, accused her of lying and encouraged her to commit suicide.
Amidst the backlash, Jewell said other women contacted her with similar accounts of receiving inappropriate messages from Rezaeian. "It's the core of what the Islamic Republic is," she stated. "They pretend that they're gods and prophets... But then, in private, they do worse things than them."
Jewell questioned the discrepancy in standards, asking why women like Mahsa Amini face severe consequences for minor transgressions while Rezaeian, a prominent figure, allegedly faces no repercussions for his private conduct. "He's not ashamed of what he did. He thinks that what he did was within reason and law, and he deserves it," Jewell said of Rezaeian.
Ramin Rezaeian has been contacted for comment regarding these allegations.
