During the 2026 ESPY Awards, comedian Marcello Hernandez, a Saturday Night Live star, included a joke about DJ Khaled's sex life that managed to pass through Disney's standards and practices department without being censored.

Hernandez introduced Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, and DJ Khaled by quipping, "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome three guys who simply refuse to go down." The host then laughed at his own joke.

The humor referenced past comments made by DJ Khaled in a 2014 appearance on "The Breakfast Club." At the time, Khaled discussed his views on relationships and how he expressed appreciation for his partner, Nicole Tuck. When asked if he performed oral sex on his then-girlfriend, Khaled responded negatively, stating, "Nah, never. Nah, I can't do that. Hell nah...I don't do that." He also added that while he believed men were "King" and had different rules, he would have an issue if a woman imposed a similar restriction.

This incident stands out due to Disney's history of censoring content deemed inappropriate for broadcast. In 2017, commentator Dan Le Batard was notably censored on ABC for a joke speculating about a football player's injury, drawing a comparison to the network's perceived inconsistency in handling sensitive topics.

The ESPYs, which aired on ABC, are owned by Disney, a company known for its family-friendly image. Hernandez's joke about DJ Khaled's personal habits managed to air despite the network's usual oversight.
