ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the network to focus on his recovery from devastating injuries suffered in a June car crash. Miller announced Friday via X that he will step away from his ESPN duties and be placed on leave to concentrate on his healing.

"To best focus on my healing and recovery, I’m stepping away indefinitely and will be placed on leave from ESPN," Miller wrote. "Thank you to all for the prayers and thoughts; please keep them coming."

Doctors were able to save Miller's left leg after surgeries on his femur and patella. He also underwent surgery to remove his left arm, with hopes for a prosthetic replacement. The femur and patella surgeries were successful.

Miller sustained severe injuries in a June 17 collision involving his Ford Bronco and a semi-truck in Missouri. He was airlifted to a hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries, including the amputation of his left arm. He also suffered a compound fracture of his left femur, a shattered left kneecap, multiple broken ribs, and significant blood loss.

In the weeks following the accident, allegations have emerged regarding fantasy football charity leagues that Miller reportedly operated. A Reddit thread detailing these claims gained attention, and Awful Announcing reported that the Missouri Attorney General's Office is investigating accusations that Miller withheld prize money or charitable payments from participants.

The attorney general's office confirmed to Awful Announcing that an investigation is underway. Miller has not publicly addressed these allegations. ESPN declined to comment when initially approached by Awful Announcing.
