Erling Haaland Jests About Media Presence After Manchester City's Victory

Erling Haaland, 26, was in good spirits after Manchester City secured a 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield. The Norwegian striker scored the opening goal shortly after Ryan Gravenberch received a red card from referee Chris Kavanagh. This win extended City's lead at the top of the Premier League to three points over Arsenal.

Following the match, Haaland engaged with fans and teammates during the post-game celebrations. As he left the pitch, a cameraman approached him, reportedly remarking, "Great goal, mate. Great goal." Haaland playfully responded, "You are everywhere. I see you more than my missus, I do."

Haaland has been in a relationship with Isabel Haugseng Johansen for five years. Johansen, who played for the same club Haaland started his career with at Bryne, was reportedly the one who initiated their relationship. Haaland previously shared that he met his girlfriend when he least expected it and advised that actively searching for a partner can be counterproductive.

The couple has a son, who was born in December 2024. They are also planning to acquire property in Abu Dhabi, with Haaland purchasing a residence in the Ohana Development on Yas Island. His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, has also bought a property in the same complex.

The victory against Liverpool came shortly after Manchester City was found guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations between 2009 and 2018. The club has maintained its innocence and is appealing the verdict. The potential sanctions for a lost appeal range from relegation to expulsion from the league. Ahead of the match, Haaland had expressed support for the club, encouraging fans to "enjoy the ride."
