Sportscaster Erin Andrews, 48, has shared that she and her husband, Jarret Stoll, continue to pursue having a second child, despite years of fertility struggles. The couple welcomed their first son, Mack, in 2023 via gestational surrogacy.

In May 2025, Andrews and Stoll announced that their surrogate had suffered a miscarriage, a setback in their journey to expand their family. Andrews told Us Weekly that the process is proving more challenging at her age. "It’s a lot harder at 48 than I ever thought it would be," she stated. "For some reason, I don’t take 'no' or bad visits very well. I said to my doctor the other day, 'I’m not done.'"

Andrews has been open about her past fertility challenges, which she described as "10 years of hell" in a previous interview with the Today show. She underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) shortly after being diagnosed with and treated for cervical cancer in 2016. She completed seven failed rounds of IVF and experienced a pregnancy loss before opting to use a surrogate for their final egg.

"You feel like s**t. You feel bloated and hormonal for a week and a half. The entire treatment takes such a mental and emotional toll on your body," Andrews wrote in an essay in 2021, detailing the significant financial, temporal, and emotional anguish involved in fertility treatments, often without success.

She emphasized the importance of communication and leaning on loved ones during such difficult times. "I’ve said this to them throughout this entire [process] of trying to have a baby: I’m so grateful for communication because you can’t keep it in," she shared. "It’s just not good for you if you [keep it in]. Lean on your loved ones, even if they’ve never had to deal with this before."

Andrews and Stoll, a former NHL player, became engaged in December 2016 shortly after she was declared cancer-free and married six months later in June 2017. Their son Mack was born on June 28, 2023.
