Erika Kirk, widow of the late Charlie Kirk, and his parents are expected to attend a week-long preliminary hearing for accused killer Tyler Robinson. The hearing is set to begin Monday morning in Provo, Utah, and will continue through the end of the week.

Robinson, 23, is accused of the public assassination of Kirk, 31, which occurred in September while Kirk was speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem. The event took place in front of thousands of spectators.

During the preliminary hearing, prosecutors will present their case to Judge Tony Graf. The judge will then determine if sufficient evidence exists to proceed to a trial for Robinson, who could face the death penalty if convicted. He has not yet entered a plea.

There is a possibility that the hearing could be postponed, as Robinson is appealing several rulings, including the decision to allow media cameras in the courtroom. Erika Kirk, serving as a victim representative in the case, has advocated for increased press access to the proceedings.
