Eric Stonestreet, known for his role in "Modern Family," described his "favorite moment" from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding as the couple's ability to experience normalcy amidst the high-profile event. Stonestreet and his wife, Lindsay Schweitzer, were among the approximately one thousand guests at the July 3 wedding in New York City. Initially, Stonestreet admitted he was skeptical about the invitation's legitimacy, initially suspecting it was spam.

"When we got the invitation, we were very careful. We couldn't verify with anybody. We just had to trust it was real because I wasn't breaking any rules, and Lindsay wasn't either. But it was incredible," Stonestreet told USA Today's Chiefs Wire. He defended the choice of Madison Square Garden as the venue, noting that it allowed for privacy away from potential aerial surveillance.

"Show me another place where they could have a private moment like anybody else would deserve to have at a wedding, where they don't have helicopters and hot air balloons and dirigibles floating over them trying to get video," Stonestreet stated. He emphasized that the "favorite moment" was witnessing the couple create a space for themselves to have the "normalcy that they deserve."

Stonestreet, who has known Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for "a while," expressed happiness for the couple. "We've seen Travis from when he was drafted and we've seen him through different phases of his life," Stonestreet said. "So when they started dating, we were so happy for him. But we were also happy for Taylor because we know what kind of human being Travis is."

The actor also recalled presenting Swift with a trophy at the American Music Awards in 2012, admitting he knew her only "a little bit" at that time. Stonestreet also reflected on the wedding as a generous gesture from the couple towards their guests.

"I really thought of it as what a gift they gave to us too," he told People. "It's one thing nobody's talking about is what a gesture it was to those people that they invited and welcomed us and [provided] such an incredible night."
