Eric Kendricks Joins Rams Practice Squad, Wife Expresses Excitement
The veteran linebacker is signed by Los Angeles amid defensive injuries, with his wife celebrating his continued NFL career.
The Los Angeles Rams have signed former All-Pro linebacker Eric Kendricks to their practice squad, adding depth to their defense as the team grapples with several player injuries. Kendricks, a veteran with a distinguished career, was previously with the San Francisco 49ers last season.
The signing comes at a time when the Rams' defense has been impacted by injuries to key players, including Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald, who recently missed a game due to a back issue. Kendricks, 34, brings considerable experience to the team, having spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He also played a season with the Los Angeles Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys before joining the 49ers.
Kendricks' wife, Ally, shared her enthusiasm for the move via an Instagram Story. Accompanying a graphic of Kendricks in a Rams uniform, she posted, "YEAR 12 BABY!!!!! Staying in LA 😤😤😤😤 @erickendricks." Kendricks was a free agent prior to signing with the Rams.
He earned First-Team All-Pro honors in 2019 and, while potentially past his prime, could still offer valuable contributions to the Rams' defense should he be elevated to the active roster.
