England Secures 100 Tickets for Away Fans at Nations League Match in Croatia
UEFA allows limited fan presence for Croatia vs. England clash due to a previous punishment.
England has been allocated 100 tickets for its away supporters to attend the upcoming Nations League match against Croatia, scheduled for October 3. This game will be played behind closed doors as a consequence of Croatia's crowd disturbances during a previous match against France in 2025.
Following discussions between the Football Association (FA) and UEFA, a compromise was reached, permitting a small number of travelling England fans to witness the Group C fixture at HNK Rijeka Stadium. This stadium is located approximately two hours west of Zagreb.
This arrangement follows a similar situation in 2018 when England's goalless draw with Croatia in Rijeka also took place without spectators. The presence of 100 fans from the official England Supporters Travel Club is expected to provide a notable atmosphere for the visitors and offer a potential advantage.
The UEFA sanction also means that Croatia will not have away supporters for their opening game against Czechia in Prague on September 26, though their fans will be permitted when the team travels to Wembley in November.
Given the short timeframe between the ticket announcement and the match, priority for the available tickets will be given to England fans who have accumulated the highest number of away 'caps' for previous matches, among those who register their interest.
