England and Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has been fined and received penalty points on his license after his Range Rover was caught running a red light. The incident occurred in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, where his vehicle passed through the intersection 1.1 seconds after the light had turned red.
Gibbs-White, who made his England debut in 2024, failed to respond to two official police letters requesting confirmation of who was driving the vehicle at the time of the offense, according to court documents. This failure to provide information led to his conviction by a court for failing to identify a driver at the time of an offense.
Nottinghamshire Police initiated an alert for Gibbs-White's vehicle while investigating the traffic light violation. They discovered that the license plate registered with the DVLA differed by one letter from the one on the vehicle. Staffordshire Police later stopped the Range Rover in April and confirmed it belonged to Gibbs-White.
At Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court, Gibbs-White was ordered to pay a total of £660 in fines, with an additional £120 in costs and a £264 victim surcharge, bringing his total court bill to £1,000. He was also given six penalty points on his driving license.
