England and Manchester United midfielder Ella Toone married Joe Bunney on Wednesday in Cheshire, the Daily Mail reported.

The couple exchanged vows at Colshall Hall, with Toone, 26, wearing a floor-length cowl neck dress, a veil, and carrying a white bouquet. Bunney, 32, donned a white tuxedo with a black bow tie and waistcoat. Their relationship began after meeting through mutual friends and their shared background in football, and they have been together for five years. Bunney, a former professional footballer and current coach, proposed to Toone in Ibiza in August of the previous year.

Several of Toone's Lioness teammates were in attendance, including Alessia Russo, who served as maid of honor. Other teammates present included Mary Earps, Lauren Hemp, Keira Walsh, Taylor Hinds, Lucy Bronze, Beth Mead, Millie Turner, Katie Zelem, and Jess Park.

Toone announced their engagement on social media with the caption "Forever… 04/08/25." Bunney's five-year-old son, Arlo, from a previous relationship, was also present for the ceremony. Bunney currently works as a coach at Toone's ET7 Academy, which mentors young aspiring female footballers.

The couple's differing football allegiances were noted, with Bunney being a Manchester City fan and Toone a Manchester United player.
