England and Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is set to appear in court following a high-speed police chase where he reached speeds of 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.

The incident occurred on April 14 in Knutsford, Cheshire, when PC Cecil Ricardo observed Pickford's blue Lamborghini Urus traveling at excessive speed. According to PC Ricardo's witness statement, the vehicle "completely ignored the give way lines" at an intersection, forcing two other cars to brake sharply.

The officer pursued Pickford, whose Lamborghini continued to accelerate. PC Ricardo reported that his own speedometer indicated he was traveling at 50 mph on a stretch of road with a 30 mph speed limit, and Pickford's vehicle was still pulling away.

Cheshire Police charged Pickford on September 23 under the Single Justice Procedure. The goalkeeper has entered a guilty plea and has requested to attend court in an effort to avoid a driving ban.

The incident took place five days before Everton's 2-1 loss to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.

Pickford's Lamborghini Urus is valued at approximately £165,000.
