England secured a series victory over Pakistan on the fourth day of the second Test at Lord's, winning by 194 runs. This marks England's first series triumph since 2024 and gives captain Joe Root a 2-0 lead in the three-match series with one Test remaining.

Despite a resilient 97 from Pakistan's Saud Shakeel, England's bowlers, particularly Ollie Robinson, were instrumental in dismissing the touring side. Robinson delivered a standout performance, taking 4-24 on Sunday for match figures of 8-35, exploiting favorable conditions to dismantle Pakistan's batting order.

Pakistan was set a challenging target of 389 runs to win, a Lord's record for the highest fourth-innings total. However, early wickets fell, reducing the team to 14-3. Robinson continued to apply pressure, taking two wickets in his third over and later removing key batsmen Shan Masood and Muhammad Rizwan in successive overs. The dismissal of Shakeel by Josh Tongue further solidified England's advantage, as Pakistan was eventually bowled out for 194.

The match concluded less than three days of actual play, partly due to time lost to weather. England had previously secured an innings victory in the first Test at Headingley.

The third and final Test of the series is scheduled to begin at Edgbaston on Wednesday, September 9.
