Enes Kanter Freedom has been banned from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago following an altercation with Chicago Sky player Natasha Cloud during a WNBA game on Sunday. Michael Alter, owner of the Chicago Sky, stated on Tuesday that Freedom has demonstrated he has the "potential to be a threat," leading to the decision to bar him from the venue.

The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Sky's game against the Indiana Fever. Following a basket by Cloud and a subsequent timeout called by the Fever, Cloud reportedly directed comments toward Freedom, who was seated courtside near the basket. Security and Sky players intervened to separate the two individuals, and Freedom was escorted from the arena.

Freedom, who has expressed intentions to join the WNBA, explained his perspective on the confrontation. He stated that he was initially celebrating a shot by his friend Sophie Cunningham when Cloud approached him, yelling, "She's not gonna sleep with you." Freedom claims he responded by saying he was "just here to protect women and support her." He believes his shirt, which explained the definition of a woman, may have contributed to Cloud's reaction, suggesting it "triggered her a lot."

Alter, however, characterized Freedom's actions as "trash talking" and an attempt to "provoke" Cloud, stating that Freedom began "chirping" at her in the third quarter.

Following the game, Cloud posted a message on Threads expressing support for the transgender community, stating, "To every trans kid/person, You are apart [sic] of MY community & tribe. You belong. You’re loved. You’re seen. You’re perfect as you are. & you will always be protected by me." This message was seen by some as a response to Freedom's stance and his attire.

Freedom has continued to state his desire to enter the WNBA Draft.
