Emma Willis Shines at Attitude Awards Amidst Strictly Hosting Scrutiny

Emma Willis, a host for the BBC dance competition Strictly Come Dancing, showcased a striking new look at the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards on Wednesday. Willis sported a long braid and a tartan dress, accompanied by fishnet tights and chunky boots, presenting a departure from her usual style.

She was joined at the event by her husband, Matt Willis, who wore a white blazer with an open black shirt and trousers. Other attendees included Kate Lawler, who wore a gold bodysuit dress with an embellished skirt, and Alesha Dixon, seen in a red minidress and black heeled boots.

Myleene Klass also attended, opting for a black see-through lace dress. The event occurred as Willis, along with co-hosts Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe, have faced public scrutiny regarding their performance in the current season of Strictly Come Dancing.

Despite initial concerns about ratings and viewer reception to the new presenting team, recent episodes have seen positive feedback regarding the on-screen chemistry. Viewers on X, formerly Twitter, noted an improvement in the pairings, with specific praise for the dynamic between Willis and Radebe when presenting together, and for Widdicombe's placement on the dance floor.

This follows an earlier period where the trio's different pairings and presentation styles were heavily discussed. Willis herself appeared to address some of the critique indirectly via an Instagram post after the first live show's ratings dip, sharing a quote about embracing judgment with a lighthearted approach.

"You'll get judged either way, so may as well pick the fun option," the quote read. The new hosting arrangement took over from long-time presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
