Emma Thompson was seen on a rare public outing with her husband of 23 years, Greg Wise, during a walk in London on Sunday. The 67-year-old actress opted for a casual ensemble, wearing denim dungarees and a white T-shirt.
The couple, who married in 2003, typically keep their relationship away from the public eye. Thompson and Wise met in 1995 while working on the period drama "Sense and Sensibility." They dated for eight years before their marriage and share two children: daughter Gaia and adopted son Tindyebwa.
Thompson was previously married to Kenneth Branagh from 1989 to 1995. Their divorce followed Branagh's affair with Helena Bonham Carter.
Recently, Thompson experienced a personal loss with the death of her mother, Phyllida Law, last month. Law, an actress herself, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. Thompson had previously spoken about the strong bond within her family, particularly after the early death of her father, Eric Thompson, who died at 53. She noted that the shared experience of loss and the need for the women in the family to be self-sufficient had drawn them closer together.
Law had a notable career, appearing in "Jane Austen's Emma" and voicing a character in "Nanny McPhee." Eric Thompson was known for devising and narrating "The Magic Roundabout."
