Kim Scott, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, was hospitalized on Saturday following an apparent suicide attempt at her Michigan home. Authorities responded to a call reporting an individual who was unconscious or fainting. A dispatcher's audio clip obtained by TMZ indicated that the caller stated an aunt had cut her wrist and was bleeding, holding a knife, and was unconscious before the caller removed the object. Scott, 51, was transported to McLaren Macomb Hospital for treatment. Her current condition is unknown.
Chesterfield Police Department and EMS were dispatched to Scott's residence. According to a Chesterfield Fire/EMS report, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. The report also stated Scott had suffered a "hemorrhage/laceration." She was seen leaving her home on a gurney and placed into an ambulance.
The hospitalization follows a series of recent legal issues for Scott, formerly known as Kim Mathers. In May, she was arrested for allegedly hitting a parked car in Chesterfield Township. She was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop or identify after causing property damage. Police took Scott into custody and booked her on a suspected DUI charge at Macomb County Jail the following morning. A jail photo showed Scott with a notably swollen face.
In February, Scott pleaded no contest in court in connection with an incident where she was accused of smashing her white Range Rover into a parked Dodge Ram. At the time of the February incident, her son Parker and his friends were reportedly in the vehicle. The collision reportedly pushed the truck 50 feet.
In June, it was revealed that Scott had an active arrest warrant after she failed to appear for a court hearing related to the suspected DUI. She was scheduled to appear in Macomb County District Court but did not show up. A bench warrant was requested by prosecutors, and her release bond was forfeited. At that time, she had not yet been taken into custody.
Scott and Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, were married twice. They first married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. They remarried in 2006 but divorced again later that year. They have one daughter together, Hailie Jade Scott, born in 1995. Eminem also adopted Scott's daughter Alaina Marie Scott and later adopted Stevie Laine Scott, whom Scott had with another partner.
