Kim Scott, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, is facing potential jail time after a judge rescinded her bond due to multiple alleged violations, including issues with her alcohol monitoring tether. The legal troubles come amidst a period of significant personal crisis for Scott, including two recent DUI arrests and a reported suicide attempt.
Scott pleaded no contest in May to a DUI charge stemming from an incident where she allegedly crashed her vehicle into a parked car. Days later, she was arrested again on suspicion of driving under the influence. Prosecutors accuse her of violating her bond multiple times, leading to the judge's decision to revoke it. The judge, however, has left open the possibility for Scott's release if she enters an inpatient treatment program.
These legal challenges follow a distressing incident last month where Scott was hospitalized after reportedly attempting to take her own life. Dispatch audio obtained by TMZ detailed an emergency call from an individual who stated Scott was bleeding from a wrist laceration and was unresponsive. Emergency responders arrived at her Michigan home, and she was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Hailie Jade Mathers, Scott's 30-year-old daughter with Eminem, is said to be deeply worried about her mother's condition. "Hailie has never stopped loving her mom no matter what," a source told Page Six. "She’s been worried about Kim and just wants to see her healthy again." Despite a historically tumultuous relationship, Hailie has reportedly tried to remain supportive.
"Any time something happens with her mom, it’s emotional because she never wants to get that kind of news," the source added. Becoming a mother herself—Hailie married Evan McClintock in 2024 and welcomed their son Elliot last March—has reportedly given her a new perspective on complex family dynamics. While she wants to support her mother, she is also focused on protecting her own family.
Scott, 51, has had a life marked by controversy, particularly surrounding her two marriages to Marshall Mathers III, also known as Eminem. They first married in 1999, divorced in 2001, remarried in 2006, and divorced again later that year. Together, they have a daughter, Hailie Jade, born in 1995. Eminem also adopted Alaina Marie Scott, the daughter of Scott's sister, and later adopted Stevie Laine Scott, Scott's son from another relationship.
Scott's legal issues in May involved charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop or identify after causing property damage. Her vehicle reportedly struck a parked truck, pushing it 50 feet. She was taken into custody and booked on a suspected DUI charge. Prior to her arrest, she had missed court hearings, leading to bench warrants that were later revoked upon her arraignment. Her bond was set at $10,000.
