Kim Scott, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, was tased and arrested by police following an attempted suicide at her Michigan home on Saturday. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Scott was "irate and combative" when officers responded to a call from a relative. The relative reported that Scott had cut her wrist and was bleeding, and that she was holding a knife and would not relinquish it. A dispatcher's audio indicated Scott was unconscious when the caller removed the knife.
When police attempted to place Scott, who was reportedly wearing only a bra and underwear, into handcuffs, she resisted. The report states she bit an officer's forearm and later kicked an officer in the shin after being tased. She was subsequently arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
Scott was taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital for treatment. Her current condition is unknown. She has a history of previous suicide attempts, including an incident in October 2015 where she admitted a single-vehicle accident was an intentional suicide attempt, and a hospitalization in July 2021 after police responded to a report of a suicidal person at her home, where she was allegedly combative.
Scott, 51, has had recent legal issues, including a warrant issued in June for failing to appear in court for a DUI hearing, and a prior arrest for a suspected DUI charge. Scott and Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, were married twice and share a daughter, Hailie Jade. They also share adopted daughter Alaina, whose biological mother was Scott's late twin sister, and Stevie, Scott's child from a previous relationship.
