Emily Ratajkowski has sold her upcoming book, titled "Mother F--ker," to Penguin Press for a seven-figure sum. The deal followed a 12-way bidding war between publishers, according to exclusive reports.

The book expands on a viral essay Ratajkowski published for The Cut, titled "Mother F--ker: After becoming a single mom, I spent several years compulsively dating. I was trying to figure out what kind of woman I wanted to be." The essay, and presumably the forthcoming book, delves into candid details about Ratajkowski's sex life following the end of her marriage.

Ratajkowski, 35, revealed in the essay that after her 2022 split from Sebastian Bear-McClard, and what she described as a sexless marriage, she entered a period of "compulsive dating." She stated her intention was to "f--k my way into a new kind of woman."

The essay detailed encounters with various individuals, described with pseudonyms such as an "Elder Millennial" with ineptive dirty talk, a "Vegan Graffiti Artist with impeccable posture," a "Chef who thought he might have chlamydia," and a "Spanish Gen-Zer who couldn’t stop sending me nudes." Ratajkowski also mentioned a "heavily self-medicated Son of a Billionaire with questionable politics," along with "several Italians" and multiple DJs.

Prior to this new book deal, Ratajkowski authored the 2021 collection of essays, "My Body." In "My Body," she explored her relationship with her body and her experiences as a model. The essay for The Cut marked a shift in her public discussion of her personal life, focusing on her experiences as a single woman navigating relationships and self-discovery.

In the viral essay, Ratajkowski wrote that before her separation, she had never had a one-night stand and had only slept with eight people in total. She noted her initial thought about her serial dating experience was, "I thought I’d get some great orgasms and a few funny stories on the way too."

While Ratajkowski does not name specific individuals in the essay, her period of single life has been subject to media speculation, with alleged links to figures such as Brad Pitt, Pete Davidson, Eric Andre, Harry Styles, Shaboozey, and Austin Butler. The upcoming book is expected to generate further interest and discussion.

Penguin Press, the publisher of "Mother F--ker," has previously published works by authors including Zadie Smith, Ottessa Moshfegh, Ron Chernow, and Will Smith.
