The model embraced a daring red and black ensemble while attending the music awards with her director boyfriend.
Emily Ratajkowski playfully referred to herself as boyfriend Romain Gavras's "groupie" as she showcased a striking, avant-garde outfit at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night.
The 35-year-old model opted for a bold red and black dress featuring significant cut-outs along the sides, baring her midriff and side. Ratajkowski chose to debut her daring look via an Instagram post on Monday, following the event, rather than walking the red carpet.
Her post included several images of her posing in the revealing attire, for which she wore no bra. Ratajkowski was also seen interacting backstage at the awards ceremony.
Although they did not pose together on the red carpet, Ratajkowski was observed in the audience alongside Gavras, a 45-year-old French director, who maintained a low-key appearance with a black baseball cap and sunglasses.
After sharing a photograph of her event pass, which designated her as Gavras's "plus one," Ratajkowski captioned her post, humorously labeling herself his "groupie" and expressing that she "had the best time" at the Los Angeles event.
This appearance with Gavras follows a period of public displays of affection, including a recent trip to Rome where the couple was photographed holding hands and kissing in the street.
Gavras, who has an estimated net worth of $5 million, is the son of acclaimed Greek-French filmmaker Costa-Gavras. The director has garnered critical recognition for his cinematic work, including his 2018 film "The World Is Yours," which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival's Directors' Fortnight, and "Athena," which debuted at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. His most recent film, "Sacrifice," an English-language debut starring Anya Taylor-Joy, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Gavras also has a notable career in music video direction, receiving a Grammy nomination in 2013 for his work on Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean's "No Church in the Wild."
He was first linked to Ratajkowski in November, with their relationship becoming Instagram official in February. This is Ratajkowski's longest public relationship since her divorce from film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard in 2022.
