Model and author Emily Ratajkowski has secured a seven-figure book deal for a new collection of essays titled "Mother F*cker." The book is described as an examination of modern female identity, drawing on Ratajkowski's experiences as a newly single mother navigating dating in New York City. This follows her 2021 release, "My Body," which explored themes of feminism, power, and sexuality.

Ratajkowski, 35, shared the news shortly after posting a series of bikini photos on social media. One image featured her in a striped top and leopard print bottoms, while another showed her in a patterned two-piece with a scuba mask during a snorkeling excursion. She recently discussed her post-divorce dating life, stating she transitioned from a "Madonna" persona to a more liberated one after her marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard ended in 2022. Their separation occurred approximately one year after the birth of their son, Sylvester.

Previously, Ratajkowski detailed the collapse of her marriage in an essay for The Cut, revealing that she and Bear-McClard stopped having sex six months after their son was born. When the split became public, sources suggested infidelity on Bear-McClard's part. Ratajkowski has alluded to these claims by liking social media posts referencing the alleged infidelity.

In her writing, Ratajkowski has expressed feelings of being misunderstood and pitied in the wake of her breakup. She has described adopting a persona she referred to as a "villain"—such as Poison Ivy or Catwoman—during her dating period, aiming to project an image of independence and desirability rather than one of a victim.

While Ratajkowski's candidness in her essays has been met with praise, a previous photoshoot accompanying an essay drew criticism. Images that depicted her topless and appearing to "breastfeed" a doll while consuming wine were described by some followers as uncomfortable and a sexualization of breastfeeding.
