Emilia Fox Open to Dating Apps After Processing Past Relationship
The "Silent Witness" star, 52, is ready to re-enter the dating pool after a period of reflection following her split from Jonathan Stadlen.
Emilia Fox, 52, has shared her openness to using dating apps again, stating she has needed time to process the end of her relationship with ex-partner Jonathan Stadlen. The actress, known for her role in "Silent Witness," revealed in January that she had separated from Stadlen in 2025 after four years together.
Nearly two years after their split, Fox is embracing her single life and feels prepared to re-enter the dating scene. She admitted to Hello! magazine that while she hasn't used dating apps in recent years due to being preoccupied with other life events, this has not come at the expense of her happiness. She emphasized the importance of processing her last relationship, which she described as "meaningful," in a way that allowed her to move forward without immediately entering a new one.
Fox also told The Telegraph that she has made peace with the end of her relationship with the TV producer. She reflected on her past tendency to immerse herself in work during times of personal disruption, noting that in her twenties, she moved from relationship to work and back again without taking time for herself. While she described that period as enjoyable, she acknowledged that her current phase of life is different and is content with that shift.
Speaking to the Daily Mail Weekend magazine in January, Fox described the past year as one of change, stating, "At the beginning of 2025 we separated. It’s really sad when relationships finish, and particularly one for which we both had lots of hope." She added that while she views life's challenges as formative rather than detrimental, she feels lucky to have shared a path with Stadlen and accepts that it is time to look towards a different future. Fox clarified that she has not given up on romance, but has valued the time spent alone for self-reflection and healing.
In addition to her personal life, Fox has been occupied with her professional endeavors. She has been filming new episodes of "Silent Witness," reprising her role as Dr. Nikki Alexander, a character she has portrayed since 2004. Furthermore, the third series of her crime drama "Signora Volpe," in which she plays a former MI6 agent solving murders in the Italian countryside, is set for release.
