Elton John and David Furnish Accused of Siding With Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Amid Family Feud

Elton John and his husband, David Furnish, are facing accusations of taking sides in the ongoing feud between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. The speculation arose after Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, attended Furnish's 64th birthday celebration in Venice.

John, who has been friends with the Beckhams for over 30 years and is Brooklyn's godfather, has reportedly acted as a mediator between the couple and Brooklyn. The situation escalated in January when Brooklyn publicly expressed his estrangement from his family on Instagram, making accusations about his parents, including claims that Victoria Beckham had interfered with his wedding.

The attendance of Brooklyn and Nicola at Furnish's birthday party, held at his new venue, Elton's Club, prompted fans to question David and Victoria Beckham's absence. Several comments on social media expressed confusion, with users asking if the senior Beckhams were invited and if Elton John had taken sides.

"Were VB and DB invited? I thought they too were friends with Elton J and David F? Have they picked a side?" one user commented. Another asked, "So they did not invite his parents too?"

Brooklyn and Nicola shared photos from the event, which included a three-course dinner and a performance by Sir Elton. Furnish expressed his gratitude in a social media comment, writing, "Thank you so much for joining us in the celebrations! We love you and Nicola so much!!"

Brooklyn and Nicola also posed for pictures with Damian Hurley, son of Elizabeth Hurley and another of Elton John's godchildren. The celebration took place at the luxurious Airelles Palladio hotel in Venice, where rooms cost over £1,300 per night.

This is not the first instance of Brooklyn and Nicola spending time with John and Furnish amid the reported family rift. The couple previously vacationed with John and Furnish at their villa in the South of France over the summer, choosing it instead of spending time with Brooklyn's parents. The last known public photograph of the Beckham family with Brooklyn and Nicola was from Christmas 2024.

Elton John and the Beckham family have maintained a long-standing friendship, with David Beckham referring to the singer as "Uncle Elton." John was unable to perform at the Beckhams' wedding in 1999 due to a medical procedure but did sing at Brooklyn's christening. Victoria Beckham has previously credited John with inspiring her to leave the Spice Girls to pursue other endeavors.
