Elon Musk Slashed Child Support After Ex Revealed Son, Documentary Claims
Ashley St. Clair alleges Tesla CEO reduced payments from $100,000 to $20,000 per month.
Elon Musk allegedly reduced monthly child support payments to ex-partner Ashley St. Clair by $80,000 after she publicly revealed the birth of their son, according to claims made in the documentary "Musk."
St. Clair, 28, was reportedly offered $15 million and $100,000 per month in child support in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement regarding her relationship with Musk. She previously stated that she could not in good conscience sign the NDA, as she did not want their son, Romulus St. Clair, to "feel like he’s a secret."
The documentary claims that Musk, 55, cut St. Clair's monthly child support payments to $40,000 after she refused to sign the NDA. The payments were reportedly reduced further to $20,000 after she publicly confirmed their son's existence in February 2025.
St. Clair, an author, alleged that Musk was "kind" until their son, Romulus, now 2, was born. "It was almost as if he didn’t show a certain side of himself until after I had our baby," she said in the documentary.
She previously stated in a TikTok video that their relationship with the Tesla CEO became strained when she became pregnant. Their relationship reportedly began in 2023 after Musk started interacting with her on X, formerly Twitter. St. Clair recalled Musk telling her, "You should have so many more kids. You should have 10 kids."
St. Clair also claimed that Musk may have more children than publicly known, stating she was contacted by other women whom Musk had allegedly been messaging and offering children to. "There was a woman in Japan who just wanted, basically, sperm donation that he obliged," she said.
St. Clair has been involved in a custody dispute with Musk over Romulus. Her legal team has alleged that the dispute led Musk to "substantially" reduce his financial support, leaving her facing eviction.
Musk has previously claimed he paid St. Clair $2.5 million, while also stating he was "not against finding out" if he was the child's father.
Earlier this year, Musk welcomed his 14th child, Seldon Lycurgus, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. Zilis recently stated that Musk ended their relationship "with no warning."
