Elon Musk's Daughter Azure Appears on Livestream Amidst Personal Life Developments
The four-year-old made a surprise cameo during an event promoting Musk's companies, shortly after his breakup with her mother, Shivon Zilis, was announced.
Elon Musk was joined by his four-year-old daughter, Azure, during a livestream event yesterday, a surprise appearance that came just a week after his breakup with her mother, Shivon Zilis, was publicly announced.
Azure, one of four children Musk shares with Zilis, appeared on screen while Musk was discussing the Tesla Roadster at the X Takeover event. The event, held at Tesla's global headquarters in Austin, Texas, focused on AI, energy, and robotics, and featured speakers including Nicki Minaj and Musk's mother, Maye Musk.
Musk, who was attending via video link, paused his remarks to greet his daughter, telling the audience of approximately 2,000 people that he needed to sign off to spend time with his children. The crowd reacted with cheers and laughter as Azure approached the camera.
Last Friday, Zilis shared an emotional statement on social media regarding their breakup, stating, "It's hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that's how it is sometimes." Zilis and Musk welcomed twins Strider and Azure in November 2021.
Musk has 14 known children with four different women. His first child, Nevada Alexander, died at 10 weeks old in 2002. With his first wife, Justine Wilson, he has twins Griffin and Vivian Jenna, born in 2004, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, born in 2006. Vivian Jenna is transgender and reportedly estranged from Musk.
His children with singer Grimes include X Æ A-Xii, born in May 2020; Exa Dark Sideræl, born in December 2021; and Techno Mechanicus, born in June 2022. Custody arrangements for these children have been the subject of legal disputes between Musk and Grimes.
In February 2024, Zilis gave birth to Arcadia, followed by their fourth child together, Seldon Lycurgus, in February 2025. Musk also has a child named Romulus with MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair, born in September 2024.
Musk has been involved in public custody battles for children with Grimes and St. Clair. A legal dispute with Grimes concluded in August 2024, with the details kept confidential, though a now-deleted social media post by the singer suggested a shared custody arrangement. St. Clair is currently involved in an ongoing custody battle over Romulus, having filed for sole custody five months after his birth. Musk has countersued for full custody, citing St. Clair's public support for the trans community after her past comments regarding Musk's transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson.
