Comedian Ellie Taylor has been lined up to host the BBC's "Strictly: It Takes Two," a report claims, following a substantial revamp of the popular show's companion program. Taylor, 42, is expected to replace Fleur East and Janette Manrara, who were reportedly axed from the spin-off ahead of the new series.

Taylor previously competed on "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2022, partnered with professional dancer Johannes Radebe. Her infectious personality was noted by the production team during her time on the show, and she was considered for the main show's presenting role before ultimately being hired for "It Takes Two."

A source told The Sun that the "It Takes Two" hosting job was offered to Taylor as part of an effort to revitalize the program, which was described as previously being "too boring."

This reported hosting change is part of a broader shake-up for "Strictly Come Dancing." Earlier, it was announced that main presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman would be replaced by Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe for the 2026 season, with several professional dancers also reportedly departing.

In addition to the hosting and presenting changes, "Strictly" is also introducing five new professional dancers for its September return. The new professionals include Aleksandra Isaeva, Cristian Priori, Lethabo Monametsi, Maddie Ingoldsby, and Mark Karmalita. These additions come after a number of professional dancers were removed from the lineup earlier this year.

It comes after last month Strictly announced that five new professional dancers will join the hit series when it returns this September

Several professional dancers, including Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Michelle Tsiakkas, Luba Mushtuk, and Gorka Marquez, have reportedly been let go. Reports suggest that dancers with larger social media followings, particularly on platforms like TikTok, are being prioritized as the show aims to attract a younger audience. For example, Dianne Buswell, who has a significant following, remains on the show, while Nadiya Bychkova, with a smaller following, was axed.

Representatives for Ellie Taylor and the BBC have been contacted for comment. So far, eight celebrity contestants have been announced for the upcoming season, including Will Best, Jaime Winstone, and Delta Goodrem.
