Singer Ellie Goulding, 39, has seemingly offered insight into her relationship with boyfriend Beau Minniear, 29, through her newly released song "4 Seasons." The lyrics suggest she developed feelings for Minniear despite initial reservations about his character.

The song, which arrived just months after The Mail on Sunday reported on Minniear's criminal past, appears to trace the early stages of their romance. Goulding sings about being at the Four Seasons Hotel and contemplates falling in love, with lines like, "I think that I might be falling in love with you" and "No I don't usually trust guys like you/ But right now I don't care."

Minniear, an actor from Utah, has a criminal record that includes arrests in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2018. He faced charges for robbery without a firearm, felony battery resulting in serious bodily injury, and marijuana possession following an altercation that left a man with a fractured elbow and a bleeding nose. The victim, who was homeless at the time, also had a criminal record. Minniear was found with seven grams of marijuana.

He admitted to misdemeanor battery as part of a plea deal and was granted probation in November 2018, ordered to pay $675 in costs. He served two days in jail following his arrest.

This relationship marks a departure for Goulding, who divorced her ex-husband, art dealer Caspar Jopling, in 2024. The couple, who share a five-year-old son, Arthur, married in 2017. Jopling, who has a background in art and rowing, is reported to be worth millions. Goulding has previously been linked to members of the British royal family, including Prince William and Prince Harry.
