Ella Langley, currently dominating music charts with her hit "Choosin' Texas," has undergone a significant image transformation in recent years. A resurfaced TikTok video from 2022 shows a vastly different performer than the one seen today.

In the 2022 video, Langley, then 27, sported mousy brown hair without her signature bangs and minimal makeup, presenting an image described as an "average small town girl." This contrasts sharply with her current glamorous persona, featuring styled bangs, polished makeup, and a designer wardrobe.

Fans have largely responded positively to Langley's evolution. Comments on social media platforms express admiration for her "superstar glow up" and acknowledge the impact of professional styling and resources on her appearance. Some users have also pointed out that similar transformations are common among artists and questioned why such changes in women are often highlighted more than in men.

Langley began to embrace a more polished image with the release of her debut studio album, "Hungover," in August 2024. The music video for her song "You Look Like You Love Me" marked the debut of her prominent bangs, a feature she later described in an interview on Theo Von's "This Past Weekend" podcast as having "changed my life" and positively impacted her career. She recounted that the bangs appeared organically after an attempt to cut her own hair before a concert.

Another element contributing to Langley's altered look is her use of Botox in her jaw to treat TMJ. This cosmetic treatment is known to reshape the face, potentially creating a more V-shaped jawline.

Creative director Caylee Robillard and stylist Stefani Colvin are credited with playing key roles in developing Langley's current aesthetic. They have worked collaboratively to cultivate her "70s-inspired country 'n western wardrobe." Colvin, who began working with Langley over three years ago when the singer had around 100,000 followers, described their process as a collaboration to find Langley's unique vibe and vision. "Sometimes she'll say, 'I'm your Barbie doll,' and we'll just play dress-up," Colvin noted.

Langley's style incorporates a mix of luxury designers and traditional Western pieces, with a particular affinity for Roberto Cavalli, both modern and vintage. Colvin emphasized that while Langley's music would be successful on its own, her strong visual identity has amplified her impact. "People are realizing how much farther you can go when you have an identifiable brand," Colvin said. "Country music is being taken more seriously. Ella’s music would be successful regardless—music always comes first—but having a strong visual identity makes everything more powerful."

Langley is currently experiencing significant career success. "Choosin' Texas" has spent 20 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, making it the second-longest running chart-topper in U.S. history. She also has two other songs in the Hot 100's top ten: "Be Her" and "I Can't Love You Anymore" with Morgan Wallen. Her sophomore album, "Dandelion," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April and is the second best-selling album of 2026 so far.

In May, Langley received seven awards at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards, including Artist-Songwriter of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. "Choosin' Texas" won Song of the Year and Single of the Year, and her collaboration with Riley Green, "Don't Mind if I Do," was named Music Event of the Year. Her acceptance speeches highlighted her gratitude and acknowledged the encouragement of other women in the industry.
