Elizabeth Hurley Discusses Romance With Billy Ray Cyrus and Blended Family Life
The actress shared details about her relationship with the country singer, their long-distance arrangement, and his adaptation to country living.
Elizabeth Hurley has spoken about her relationship with boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus, describing their romance as "great" and discussing how they are navigating "blended families and blended continents."
The couple, who made their relationship public in April 2025, have been dividing their time between Los Angeles and Hurley's country home in Hertfordshire, England. Hurley noted that while she is comfortable in America, Cyrus had not spent extensive time in England prior to their relationship, but has since embraced the countryside.
"He loves it too," Hurley said of Cyrus's experience in the English countryside. When asked if she was turning him into a "country gent," she responded that he is "definitely a country boy."
She also shared that Cyrus is learning to cook, with the aim of bringing her breakfast in bed. "He wants to be able to bring me a tray, for breakfast or something, but that hasn't happened yet," Hurley stated. She humorously recounted his claims about barbecuing, only to demur when faced with cooking it himself, preferring gas grills over charcoal and wood.
Cyrus has also assisted Hurley with tasks around her country property, including picking apples from her orchard. "Billy did help, he did a little bit," she recalled.

Hurley elaborated on their relationship dynamic in a previous interview with E! News, emphasizing their shared preference for a quiet country lifestyle. "I'm very country where I am. And that's a really important thing in our relationship that neither of us want to be out and about," she said. The couple's "happy place" involves "being at home in the country and snuggling up and doing a lot of things with nature," and they "very rarely" go out.
Cyrus, who is the father of singer Miley Cyrus, has lived in Tennessee for the past 35 years. The couple met in 2022 on the set of the movie "Christmas in Paradise."

In addition to discussing her personal life, Hurley appeared on ITV's This Morning to promote her 30-year involvement with the Breast Cancer Foundation. She spoke about the impact of her work, her encounters with individuals affected by breast cancer, and the foundation's recent £15 million donation from Estée Lauder Companies to study breast cancer in younger women.
Hurley also reflected on spending time with Joan Collins in St. Tropez, describing their summer activities as "reading, eating and chit-chatting." She mentioned Collins's extensive reading habits and their shared enjoyment of a relaxed pace, interspersed with "glamorous lunches and dinners."
