Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus Navigate Blended Family Amid Engagement Rumors

Elizabeth Hurley, 61, has shared insights into her blended family life with boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus, 65, detailing how their independent adult children contribute to their dynamic. Hurley, mother to 24-year-old Damian, noted on the "Off Air with Jane & Fi" podcast that she and Cyrus are now "empty nesters." Cyrus has six children from previous relationships, including Miley Cyrus, 33.
"It works very well, I think," Hurley said of their family arrangement. She recalled the difference between parenting younger children and having an adult son. "It’s very different. It’s more grown up and it’s easier. Sometimes I miss being a hands-on mummy. I don’t miss the school runs... But you do sort of miss, I suppose, being so hands-on. It’s an adjustment to have to make."

Cyrus and Hurley publicly confirmed their relationship on Easter in 2025. Recently, engagement rumors intensified when Hurley posted an Instagram photo showing her wearing a prominent diamond ring on her left hand. Her son, Damian, responded to the post with excited emojis. Days later, Cyrus shared a selfie with a caption that hinted at significant personal ground, writing, "This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time." He also mentioned being excited for a show teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix, adding, "Kinda has a ring [ring emoji] to it."

Page Six has reported that sources confirmed the engagement, although official representatives for the couple have not yet commented. An insider reportedly told the outlet that given Hurley's filming schedule, the ring was unlikely to be a prop.

If engaged, this would be Cyrus's fourth marriage and Hurley's second. Hurley was previously married to Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2011 and was engaged to cricketer Shane Warne from 2011 to 2013. She also has a past relationship with film producer Steve Bing, with whom she had Damian.
Hurley and Cyrus met on the set of the 2022 film "Christmas In Paradise."
