A new documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, titled "You Can See Everything," has premiered at the Telluride Film Festival. Directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, the film features Holmes, 42, welcoming a camera crew into her home shortly before she began serving an 11-year prison sentence.

The documentary's release coincides with Holmes's resurfaced public presence on social media, where she has recently posted pro-Trump and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) messages. These posts mark a significant departure from her previous political leanings, which included hosting a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.

In 2022, Holmes was convicted on four counts of fraud for defrauding investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars by misrepresenting the capabilities of Theranos' blood-testing technology. The company had claimed it could perform numerous tests using a single drop of blood, a claim later exposed as fraudulent by investigative reporting.

The trailer for "You Can See Everything" shows Fielder and Holmes engaging in a dialogue about sincerity, with Holmes stating, "I don't have anything to deceive you on." Fielder asks if she is being truthful, to which she replies, "I'm always being real."

Holmes's account on X, formerly Twitter, had been inactive since 2015. Her recent activity began in August 2025, featuring commentary that aligns with supporters of former President Donald Trump. In November 2025, she shared an article about MAHA, stating her lifelong dedication to improving healthcare in the U.S. She also commented on political events, including posts related to Venezuela and a meeting between Trump and Elon Musk.

Information from the U.S. Department of Justice indicates Holmes sought a commutation of her sentence in 2025, with the request listed as pending. She was sentenced to over 11 years in prison for wire fraud totaling more than $140 million. The Securities and Exchange Commission also charged her with defrauding investors out of $700 million in a civil case.

Holmes is currently incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas. Her sentence is set to end on December 30, 2031. Her current options for potential early release include a favorable Supreme Court decision on a final appeal, considered unlikely by experts, or a successful clemency plea to the Trump administration. The Department of Justice's website shows that President Trump has granted clemency to 114 individuals since the start of his second term, including 34 convicted of various fraud offenses.
