Elizabeth Chambers, ex-wife of actor Armie Hammer, has stated she has no intention of marrying again. Chambers, 44, who separated from Hammer, 40, in 2020 after a decade of marriage, commented on her future marital plans in an interview with Us Weekly. "Absolutely not. I spent years getting unmarried. Why would I [get married] again?" she said.
The divorce was finalized three years after their initial separation. Hammer faced accusations in 2021 of "violently raping" a former girlfriend in 2017, while he was married to Chambers. Multiple other women also accused him of sexual and emotional abuse, allegations he has denied. Around the same period, text messages allegedly from Hammer, detailing fantasies involving cannibalism, were leaked by an ex-girlfriend.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office investigated Hammer in 2023, but the case was closed due to insufficient evidence to file charges.
Chambers described her divorce as something neither she nor Hammer had wanted. "I thought I found my person for life, and I really believed in monogamy, and I really believed in the most important thing is family, and it is," she told Us Weekly, reflecting on the dissolution of their marriage. The former couple share two children, daughter Harper, 10, and son Ford, seven. Chambers admitted to questioning her life circumstances during the process, saying, "I remember praying every day, being like, 'How is this my life? I have the most amazing kids. I have the most amazing family. I have the most [amazing] everything.'"
She has since begun dating wellness therapist Ricardas Kazinec, whom she met in September 2022. Chambers credits him with aiding her transition with her children from Grand Cayman to Los Angeles in September 2024.
Explaining her aversion to remarriage, Chambers stated, "I just don’t know that I would ever trust anyone to protect my heart like that again. And that’s just like me in a therapy session right now."
Despite the difficulties, Chambers expressed that she would not change the past six years. She and Hammer share custody of their children. Chambers is also the CEO of BIRD Bakery and hosted a TV series called Toxic. She and her podcast co-host Marissa, on "The Dash" podcast, have committed to protecting their children from excessive details about their parents' pasts, stating that children need to know they are loved by both parents, and that external news is merely "noise."
