Elite Socialites and Athletes Gather for Exclusive Derby Day Afterparty
Melbourne's social elite, including fashion figures and sports stars, celebrated at a lavish rooftop event following the prestigious Derby Day races.
Derby Day concluded at Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, but the festivities continued for Melbourne's prominent social set at an exclusive rooftop afterparty. Style icons Pip Edwards and Lindy Klim, alongside AFL stars Nick and Josh Daicos, gathered for the star-studded event hosted by Tequila Don Julio.
The Don After Dark party, held 24 floors above the city at The Beverly, saw a convergence of fashion and sports personalities. Pip Edwards presented an elegant look in a draped grey asymmetrical top and wide-leg black trousers. She was joined by celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson, who sported a white high-neck mini dress with statement fringing and exaggerated shoulder pads.
Footballers Nick and Josh Daicos were also in attendance. Nick Daicos wore a pinstriped double-breasted suit, complemented by a patterned tie and white shirt. His brother, Josh, opted for a textured grey suit with a slim black tie and an open collar.
Balinese princess Lindy Klim attended with her partner Paul Mullert. Klim wore a plunging black jumpsuit with structured shoulders, while Mullert was dressed in a tailored suit and an open-collared white shirt. Other notable guests included Nadia Bartel, Bec Judd, and Tammy Hembrow.
The evening commenced with a sunset toast at 7:42 p.m., led by ARIA-nominated artist KLP, who served celebratory Don Julio 1942 Royale cocktails. The venue offered panoramic views of the Melbourne skyline, serving as a backdrop for the post-race celebration.
British rapper Tinie Tempah provided entertainment with an hour-long performance, energizing the crowd with hits such as "Pass Out," "Miami to Ibiza," and "Written in the Stars." The event concluded with a flourish, extending the Derby Day celebrations late into the night.
