A man aged 78 and a woman aged 79 were discovered deceased at a property in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Cheshire Constabulary was alerted to the residence on Grange Park Avenue on Saturday, responding to 'concerns for the welfare of the occupants'.

Investigators do not suspect any third-party involvement and are not seeking additional individuals in connection with the incident. A local business owner described the couple as people who "kept themselves to themselves."

Nigel Lane, 68, shared with The Telegraph, "It's a very sad situation. The reasons why, I don't really know. I know of them but they used to keep themselves to themselves. They lived there a long time but I don't know their names, there's quite a lot of older people on this estate."

Police stated that inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the deaths are ongoing. Detective Inspector Robert Lees commented, "We understand the concern this incident is likely to have caused in the local community, and I would like to reassure residents that a thorough investigation is being carried out. We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter. Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of those involved."
