Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed directly questioned Fox News host Jesse Watters about his circumcision status during a segment on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Monday. The exchange occurred as El-Sayed defended transgender medical procedures for minors, arguing against government intervention.
“Do you really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised?” El-Sayed asked Watters, appearing to pivot the discussion when Watters questioned transgender surgeries for children. Watters responded that it was a personal question, to which El-Sayed pressed, “Jesse, are you?”
Watters acknowledged he was circumcised but stated, “that’s a personal question — doctor.” El-Sayed then suggested Watters should move on from the topic. However, Watters countered, “Circumcision is different than castration!”
El-Sayed argued that it presented a contradiction for Watters to believe the government should prohibit sex change surgeries for minors but not circumcisions. "I'm just saying that yes, circumcision is surgery on a kid’s ding-a-ling," El-Sayed said. "So if you really want to bring that up, you can … I just think you guys are really selective about these things."
Watters characterized El-Sayed’s stance as "wacky" and "sick," adding, “Abdul, Michigan’s not going for that. That is sick stuff.”
El-Sayed, a former public health official, was on Watters' show to discuss his views on transgender healthcare for minors, a topic that has become a point of political debate.
