Sabrina Ghayour's new cookbook features eight accessible recipes designed to bring the flavors of the Middle East into the home kitchen. The collection includes a variety of dishes, from quick snacks to more involved meals and desserts.

Among the featured recipes is a watermelon salad with a tamarind-lime dressing, inspired by Thai salads and enhanced with toasted rice for texture. Another offering is a feta and herb yogurt dip, a simplified take on a Persian dish. For a more substantial option, the book presents a lazy curried cheese mutabaq toastie, a folded pastry parcel filled with feta, cheddar, spring onions, coriander, chili flakes, and curry powder.

Sweet options include a vanilla cheesecake topped with lime, black pepper, cherries, and berries, and a passion fruit, lime, and coconut cake. Savory dishes include sticky honey, lime, and harissa sausage meatballs, an aubergine and sweet potato kari with a creamy, peanut-butter-based sauce, and a plum stew (Khoresh e Aloo) with chicken.

The recipes are drawn from Ghayour's book, "Persiana One," which aims to make Middle Eastern cuisine approachable for home cooks. The cookbook is available for purchase with a special offer for readers of the Daily Mail.
